Account Manager

The Account Manager is the direct liaison between our internal teams and the client point of contact. The AM is ultimately accountable for clients’ satisfaction with company marketing programs and will provide expert analysis on past performance and future opportunities.

The AM is responsible for managing accounts ensuring best practices are continually being adhered to, updated and shared with the rest of the team. It is the responsibility of the Account Manager to ensure our clients are educated on new developments in web marketing and the results of any of our programs are conveyed to the client in a meaningful way.

It is the expectation that the AM will maintain expert-level understanding of each client marketing initiative and continuously add value to client account to further enhance performance. The Account Manager is expected to be able to successfully perform all duties autonomously with limited direct management oversight required from upper management.

This is a customer service role that is highly focused on retention. You must be comfortable building telephone relationships and connect to people while smartly positioning our company as the experts that we are, gaining their confidence in the effectiveness of our marketing programs.

What You Will Do Here:

  • Analyze client marketing, making performance suggestions (internal and external recommendations)
  • Digest complex marketing functions and relay to client in general non-technical language
  • Develop relationships with clients serving as their advocate constantly promoting them and driving internal work towards their account
  • Seek new opportunities to provide additional services within existing client accounts
  • Ensure internal processes are followed, and that campaigns are being actively managed and enhanced
  • Ensure timely renewal of client SEM programs to avoid interruption in service
  • File all required documentation to support revenue recognition and making sure that project milestones are achieved within project plan timeline
  • Constant client follow up, tracking of requests and completion dates
  • Manage all day-to-day client account activities

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree (Business or Marketing preferred) or demonstrated experience in a similar business environment
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to identify and quantify financial impact of opportunities with limited data
  • Excellent computer skills (Basecamp, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and various internet browsers)
  • Familiarity with hosted web metrics platforms (Google Analytics, SiteCatalyst, WebTrends)
  • Intelligent, well-spoken, professional, friendly and courteous
  • Skilled at strategic analysis
  • Results oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fast Learner – Able to learn new programs and skills quickly
  • Self motivated and driven
  • Knowledge of graphics & HTML & web pages (preferred)
